Samuli Salonen, co-founder and CEO of TalentBee, a recruitment agency specialising in SaaS talent acquisition, has announced his decision to step down from his operational role, effective 1 January 2025. TalentBee, known for helping SaaS companies build high-performing teams, will now be led by co-CEOs Sirri Laaksonen and Saara Kyllönen, while Salonen retains a 10% shareholding and transitions to an advisory role.
Salonen shared that his decision to step down stems from his renewed passion for the sales and marketing sectors. Confident in the foundation he built, Salonen believes TalentBee is ready for continued success under new leadership. “TalentBee has grown into a stage where I believe it can continue to grow without me being part of the day-to-day,” he said.
During his tenure, Salonen helped guide TalentBee through significant milestones, including generating approximately €1 million in revenue in a challenging market, assembling a top-tier team, and establishing a widely recognised brand in SaaS recruitment. The appointment of Sirri Laaksonen and Saara Kyllönen as co-CEOs will ensure a smooth leadership transition without the need for an external hire.
As for his next steps, Salonen is exploring opportunities within sales, marketing, and growth. He is considering co-founding a new venture or offering consulting services, while taking some time to relax before diving into new projects.
